Our Story

Hya Scents was born during a season in my life when I felt the need to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with myself. I was searching for calm, balance, and a deeper sense of purpose, something that allowed me to step away from the noise of everyday life and simply be present.

What began as a simple curiosity soon became a deeply grounding ritual.

Through the gentle process of candle making, I rediscovered the beauty of slowing down, of working with intention, creating with care, and finding peace in life’s quieter moments. There is something powerful about transforming just a wick, wax, and fragrance into something that brings warmth and light into a space. Each candle became a reminder to pause, breathe, and create space for myself.

As my passion grew, I committed to refining my craft. I invested time in research, learned from experienced artisans, and completed professional candle-making training both virtually and in person — including specialist training at a dedicated Candle Academy in Huddersfield. This allowed me to deepen my knowledge, perfect my techniques, and ensure that every product I create meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Hya Scents was created from that journey, not just as a business, but as a continuation of that intention.
